The Sports Health Organisation India was set up as a registered society in 2007 by Government of NCT of Delhi under Societies registration Act 21, 1860 to standardize and maintain uniform standards of training of professionals which are interested in field of sport science and physical education.
The Sports Health Organisation India is a group of physiotherapists and Physical Educators which are dedicated for promotion of sports and physical education in India. The SHO regulating the training of professional and personnel in the field of Sports Science, Health and Physical Education/ Special Education.
Its aims are to contribute to the awareness of human values inherent in sport and physical activity, to improve health and physical well-being, and to develop physical activity, physical education and sport in India to a high level.
In these ways it helps to defend and develop the concept of fair play, the formation of the sporting ethic and to promote peace and understanding between people.
The Name
The name of Society shall be "THE SPORTS HEALTH ORGANISATION " herein after referred as the SHO
Headquarters
The headquarters of the SHOI shall be situated at A 9 Adarsh Nagar, Najibabad, District Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, the residential place of the Gen. Secretary
Objectives
• To encourage national co-operation in the field of sports science and physical education.
• To promote stimulate and co-ordinate scientific research in field of physical activity, physical education and sport at National level and support the application of its result in various practical areas of sports.
• To make scientific knowledge of sport and practical experiences available to all interested national and international organization and institutions.
• To supports and implement initiatives with aims similar to those pursued by it self and initiated or developed by any other appropriate agency or organization in field.
• To start, establish, run or manage and maintain school for physical culture development of the massages especially in the field of sport health (all types of the sports and physical education or activities of India and western etc.)
• To provide scientific guidance and assistance to the sports fraternity, regarding the medical and health aspects of training in sports.
• To improve the techniques and facilities available for the prevention and treatment of sports injuries.
• To provide sports and cultural training and competition for handicapped and mental retardation people for build their confidence and self dependent.
• To run P.G. Diploma / Diploma/ Certificate courses in the field of sports science and physical education, and regulate institutions / organizations which are working for development of scientific guidance in field of sport and physical education.
• To print and publish articles, periodicals and pamphlets on topics related to sports medicine and allied sciences.
• To organize seminars, symposiums and workshops of SPORTS PHYSIOTHERAPY, SPORT SCIENCES AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION.
• To organize and cause to organize State Units and to get they affiliated as members of the SHOI.
• To do all such other acts congenial and conductive to attain the objectives of the SHOI, and for the promotion of sports in the country on a sound scientific basis.
